Interactive Performance
A live-action performance that I have done at Fossil Fools shows and at the Headlands Center for the Arts , where I walk around with a tray of “shots of petroleum.” I invite audience members to have a free shot of crude oil from Titusville, PA – calling out, “Petroleum shots for everyone! Unlimited supply!”
People usually and tell me what they know about oil. Often people are unsure if it is really oil or not, since we rarely see actual petroleum.
I have found that this “live action” engage others, and is effective in sparking discussions about petroleum and our future.
Secret note (!) : The “oil” is actually a chocolate syrup shot.
